OUR WORK - DEMOCRATIC GOVERNANCE

UNDP supports the Government to address governance issues by strengthening national institutions to respond to the needs of its citizens. UNDP’s new programme cycle which came into operation in 2013, closely links the poverty reduction, democratic governance and crisis prevention and recovery pillars, under the new ‘Governance for Empowerment and Social Inclusion’ cluster. UNDP will continue to support responsive governance and strengthen access to justice and the rule of law.
