UNDP Sri Lanka Hosts 32 Young Trilingual ‘Unlocked’ Bloggers

23rd July 2015, UN Compound, Colombo. UNDP Sri Lanka conducted an interactive blogging workshop for the selected 32 young bloggers as they gear to take the Youth and Development agenda forward under the ‘Unlocked’ Project.

The ‘Unlocked’ Project, an initiative by UNDP Sri Lanka following the launch of the National Human Development Report [NHDR] 2014, is a youth and development-themed online platform exclusively for young voices. The UNLOCKED online space will now be rolled out in a weekly column in one of Sri Lanka’s leading daily English newspapers - Daily FT, as per the recent partnership between UNDP Sri Lanka and Daily FT.

The workshop was conducted by Dharisha Bastians an award winning journalist of the Daily FT and sibling duo, award winning novelist Thisuri Wanniarachchi and former Sri Lankan Youth delegate to the United Nations, Senel Wanniarachchi.

The ‘Unlocked’ blogs will be featured on the UNDP Sri Lanka website and on print media via the Daily FT commencing this August.
