Legal framework

Legal authority of UNDP:

UNDP has been formally invited to work in Sri Lanka by the national Government. The Standard Basic Assistance Agreement (SBAA) is a legal contract between the Government of Sri Lanka and the United Nations Development Programme. It outlines general conditions for UNDP cooperation under which all UNDP programme activities are carried out.
